Meet Report

9th to 11th December 2016 - Ardenbeg Bunkhouse Craggan Outdoors, Grantown-on-Spey

It was a fine bright Friday night when the EMC descended upon Grantown-on-Spey. The following day looked to be fair but windy and plans were hatched accordingly. First away were Monty, Antti, Sam and Ged who conquered Beinn Mheadhoin & Ben Macdui. Alison and Kenny made for those two well-known Hughs (Hills Under Graham Height - just incase you didn’t know) Meikle Conval & Little Conval and were back in time to enjoy a coffee in the town. Dave and Pauline set off with on their mountain bikes for Glenlivet whilst Alan and Anne did the Munro and tops on Sgor Gaoith. Emma, Kerry, Perry, Kate, Tony and Alison did Corriehabbie Hill and then the short drive to do Ben Rinnes. Claire was a welcome addition to the party on the Saturday evening (having completed Meall Chuaich on the drive North). Vast quantities of haggis, neeps and tatties were consumed by the Beinn Mheadhoin party. Sunday brought another good day – Emma, Perry and Kate did Geal-charn Mor, Alan did the Beinn Mheadhoin Munro tops & Bynack More whilst Tony, Sam, Monty & Ged headed off to Sgor Gaoith  and Antti and Claire bumped into Cameron McNeish on their run from Nethy Bridge to Meall a Buachaille. Another good weekend had by all.
