Meet Report

26th to 28th February 2010 - By The Way Hostel, Tyndrum

A record number for a non-holiday meet pitched up at Tyndrum, where we had managed to take over the whole of the excellent hostel. There was, as has been the norm this winter, masses of snow on the hills. Saturday saw parties off to Rannoch Moor to ski their way to a graham, downhill skiing at Glencoe, a mass assault on Trosigeach and its neighbouring corbett. Martin and I thought Ben Lui looked resplendent in its winter coat and set off up the track in determined fashion. Er about 25 mins later as we floundered up to our waist at times we decided better of it and turned about and headed up Beinn Chuirn. Chris & Anne and Kenny had also opted for this hill.

Next day saw the climbers up early, well some of them, to climb Eas Anie, the frozen waterfall above Cononish farm, (see numerous pics), this proved a popular choice of climb with a regular stream of parties heading for it. Others headed for Beinn Chuirn, safe in the knowledge there was a nice trail up it from the day before.

Another w/e playing in the snow, do winters get any better than this one??
